The standard meeting time for psychotherapy is 45 minutes. Requests to adjust the 45-minute session need to be discussed in advance with Dr. Posner in order for time to be scheduled.

The session time that you and Dr. Posner agree to will be reserved for you as a standing, regular appointment. This time will be dedicated to you and will not be available to anyone else. This is similar to signing up for a class that meets regularly, and has limited seats. Because of that, you will be responsible for payment for all sessions, regardless of whether you are able to attend. (See "Billing & Payment", below)
 

Canceling and Rescheduling Appointments

While you agree to pay for your regular appointment, Dr. Posner will make every effort to accommodate rescheduling requests received more than 24 hours in advance for an alternate time within the same week, although available times may be limited.

Billing & Payment

Fees

Dr. Posner's fee is $300 for a session. Dr. Posner works to agree to a fee that is affordable to the patient, and thus she has a sliding scale. You may contact Dr. Posner to discuss how a sliding scale is determined.

A $10.00 service charge will be charged for any checks returned for any reason for special handling. 

Although she does not take in-network insurance payments, many of Dr. Posner's patients are able to obtain substantial coverage for psychotherapy using out-of-network benefits. She is happy to assist in completing the necessary forms for reimbursement.
